The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic Church located in Springfield, Illinois. The construction of the cathedral began in 1922, and it was consecrated in 1928. The cathedral was designed by Joseph W. McCarthy in the Gothic Revival style, and it features stained glass windows, a vaulted ceiling, and a 1929 Moller pipe organ. The cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois.
